5 Georgia baseball ranked among top MLB draft prospects

The Georgia Bulldogs made the College World Series and won the SEC championship during the 2026 college baseball season thanks to having a stacked roster. The Bulldogs had the Golden Spikes winner in catcher Daniel Jackson, who is Georgia‘s top 2026 MLB draft prospect.
In fact, Georgia has five players ranked among the top-250 prospects in the MLB draft. Jackson is projected to be a first-round pick and is ranked as the No. 28 prospect. Jackson is the third-ranked catcher in the draft behind Georgia Tech’s Vahn Lackey and Arkansas’ Ryder Helfrick.
Right-handed pitcher Joey Volchko, who delivered an elite performance against Texas in the College World Series, is Georgia’s second-best draft prospect at No. 68. Georgia third baseman Tre Phelps is the Dawgs’ third-best draft prospect and is the No. 121 player in the draft.
Georgia outfielder Rylan Lujo attended the MLB draft combine and is the Bulldogs’ fourth top-200 prospect at No. 190. Just outside the top-200 is Georgia right-handed pitcher Dylan Vigue, who is the No. 202 prospect.
