Erling Haaland scores twice for Norway vs Brazil, rising up World Cup Golden Boot leaderboard (video)

Erling Haaland climbed the mast to head Norway’s rowers ahead of Brazil in the World Cup’s Round of 16 on Sunday in New Jersey.

Haaland scored not once but twice in the second half — the first a powerful header, the second a precision strike — to delight the red, blue, and white faithful.

First, the towering Manchester City striker bulled his way past his rival — Arsenal’s Gabriel Magalhaes — and turned young Andreas Schjelderup’s cross past Alisson to give Norway a 79th-minute lead.

Brazil then gave Haaland room outside the 18 in the 90th minute, and he drilled a low shot through the legs of Danilo Santos and past Alisson.

Haaland, who turns 26 later this month, now has seven goals and an assist in four games during this World Cup, his first. He now has an absurd 62 goals in 54 senior caps for Norway.
