I’m not going to act as though I’m extremely impressed by the Yankees belting a couple solo homers and winning yesterday by a slim 2-0 margin. OK, that’s half-untrue. I was impressed by Will Warren’s best start of the season, which helped keep the game scoreless for 6.2 innings against a pretty good Cubs lineup. Credit goes out to him and the bullpen for making tha nrrow margin stand up. But they have to do more with the bats. I’m really glad that it worked out yesterday! It’s a tough road to hoe though, and the bar is higher than “solo shots and pray for minimal resistance.”
Today on the site, Nick and Sam will cover a couple late potential trade targets with Angels starter José Soriano and Cardinals outfielder Lars Nootbaar.
