TCU football is moving closer to its 2026 season opener against North Carolina in Dublin, Ireland on Aug. 29. As the Countdown to Kickoff continues, we’ll highlight a former Horned Frog whose jersey number coincided with the number of days remaining until the opener. At No. 28 is former TCU defensive back Millard Bradford.
Across five seasons with the Horned Frogs, Bradford totaled 231 tackles with 16.5 tackles for loss, 15 pass breakups, two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, four interceptions and one sack over 57 games. Bradford, nicknamed “Nook”, was named an All-Big 12 Honorable Mention after both the 2022 and 2023 seasons. As a defensive back, Bradford helped TCU beat Michigan in the Fiesta Bowl and reach the national title game.
Bradford played in all 12 games his freshman season and made his first start for the Horned Frogs in 2020. He became a regular starter his junior season and continued to start in 2022 and 2023. After being invited to attend the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis, Bradford signed with the New Orleans Saints as an undrafted free agent. He played in three games during the 2024 season, registering three tackles.
