Summer is here, sort of, and it is everyone’s favorite time of the year, scouting time. Every year, we do Summer Scouting to preview college football for Bucs fans, but also give them an idea of names to follow and watch in the fall as needs pop up for Tampa Bay.
Are we going to write about quarterbacks? Offensive tackles? Edge rushers? You know it, but why? Because other NFL teams will draft them, just as they will draft every other position. It all matters whether these players end up on the Bucs, the Bears, or the Steelers. We write these so Bucs fans can be the most informed fans.

Player Summary
Clev Lubin enters the 2026 season after one of the most productive two-year stretches of any edge defender in college football. After redshirting at Army in 2022, Lubin transferred to Iowa Western, where he helped lead the program to a national championship while posting 23.5 tackles for loss and 11.5 sacks. He followed that with productive stops at Coastal Carolina and Louisville, recording 21 sacks and 110 pressures over the last two seasons.
The first thing that stands out on film is Lubin’s physicality. He consistently attacks blockers with violent hands and plays with a direct approach as a pass rusher. Rather than relying on excessive movement or flashy counters, he attacks leverage points, works through contact, and looks to create disruption. His ability to generate pressure shows up against quality competition, and he rarely appears late off the snap.
Louisville frequently aligned Lubin as the outermost defender on the front, allowing him to attack offensive tackles from wide alignments. He routinely battled through tackle and tight-end combinations while working his way back toward the quarterback. His physicality also showed up against the run, where tight ends frequently struggled to control him at the point of attack.
