First team All-Ohioan Galownia named MNJ Baseball Player of the Year

He led the Lexington Minutemen back to program expectations in 2026.
Lexington senior Tyler Galownia, the 2026 Mansfield News Journal Baseball Player of the Year, took the Minutemen to their first district championship game appearance in nearly a decade this season while leading the team to a 19-11 overall record.
For his senior year, Galownia hit .321 with 27 hits, five doubles, a home run, 18 RBIs and 31 runs scored. He drew 30 walks, was hit by a pitch eight times and stole eight bases. But his biggest impact was on the mound where he was the ace of the pitching staff. He went 9-3 with 72 strikeouts and a 1.64 earned run average in 59 ⅔ innings of work.
For his efforts, Galownia was named Division III first team All-Ohio, first team All-District 9 and first team All-Ohio Cardinal Conference. He was the winning pitcher in the district semifinal game that sent the Minutemen back to the championship for the first time in nine years.
And for that, he was named the 2026 Mansfield News Journal Baseball Player of the Year.
