Yarmouth-Dennis stays hot, shuts out Bourne. CCBL ROUNDUP

The Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox just keep winning.
With Friday’s 2-0 win in eight innings over the Bourne Braves (10-9-3), the Red Sox improved their league-best mark to 19-2-1.
The Red Sox did their damage with pitching Friday. Starting pitcher Easton Teel (Oral Roberts) went five innings with no hits, no runs and two walks allowed. He struck out two batters. Connor Hamilton (Vanderbilt) followed with two innings, two hits allowed, one walk and two strikeouts. Peyton Rodgers (UC Irvine) then went one inning with one strikeout.
Avery Ortiz (Oklahoma State) was the only player on either team with two hits.
Yarmouth-Dennis scored first in the bottom of the first inning as Dante Vachini (Cal Poly) homered to center field, his third of the summer.
Ortiz scored on a bases-loaded walk in the bottom of the fourth inning.
Bourne’s Noah Scott (Oregon State) started and walked five with four strikeouts.

Hyannis Harbor Hawks 4, Harwich Mariners 3
The Harbor Hawks (10-12) grabbed a lead, then held off the host Mariners (13-9) late.
Raymond Olivas (UC Santa Barbara) had the start for the Harbor Hawks and earned the win to move to 2-1 on the summer. He went five innings with two hits, one run and one walk allowed. He struck out two batters. Easton Barrett (Arizona State) had a hold, as he pitched 1 2/3 innings with four hits, two runs and no walks allowed. He struck out three batters. Truitt Webb (Southeastern Louisiana) worked the final 2 1/3 innings with one hit allowed and two strikeouts.
Jordan Lodise (Central Florida) was the only player on either team to have two hits.
Caden Miller (Texas-San Antonio) scored on a sacrifice fly for the Harbor Hawks to tie the score at one in the top of the fourth inning.
Miller was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded as the Harbor Hawks took a 2-1 lead in the fifth inning.
Lodise had a base hit RBI in the top of the seventh inning. Jax Gimenez (Oregon) then scored on a sacrifice fly as the Harbor Hawks grabbed a 4-1 lead.
Harwich scored the first run in the bottom of the second inning. Sean O’Leary (Massachusetts-Lowell) struck with an RBI single to give the Mariners an early 1-0 advantage.
A Colin Larson (Boston College) double brought in two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning.
