Seth Hammaker out for the remainder of the year with a shoulder injury

Seth Hammaker will miss the remainder of the 2026 Pro Motocross season after injuring his shoulder in a violent crash during the second moto at High Point. He was running third when he crashed on Lap 1.

Hammaker entered the round tied in points with Pro Circuit teammate Levi Kitchen. Hammaker won the season opener at Fox Raceway in Pala, California, with moto results of second and first. He won the first moto the following week in the Hangtown Motocross Classic, but crashes in the second moto there and at Thunder Valley allowed the field to close the distance in points.

“Seth sustained a shoulder injury and will be on the mend for the remainder of the year,” the team reported on social media.

Hammaker left High Point fifth in the Motocross standings and third in the combined SuperMotocross League.

Hammaker had shoulder surgery during the off-season following the 2025 season.

If he does not require additional surgery and his recovery is faster than anticipated, he has a gap of 197 points to 21st in the standings. The top 20 riders are guaranteed a place in all three SMX Playoff rounds, which begins on September 12, 2026, at Historic Crew Stadium in Columbus, Ohio.

Teammate Enzo Temmerman was also injured in a separate crash.

Temmerman is expected to return, but a date has not been given.

“Enzo will miss Round 5 of Pro Motocross as he continues to recover,” the team added. “Stay tuned for updates on his return to racing. We wish them both a smooth and speedy recovery.”
