Michigan State basketball has been hot on the recruiting trail this past week, setting up official visits with several key prospects in the 2027 recruiting class. Unfortunately for Michigan State, one key prospect did not schedule a visit with the Spartans, at least not at this time.
Asa Montgomery, a top-30 prospect that is a 6-foot-7 small forward, had received an offer from Michigan State and Spartans fans were hopeful that they would get a crack at the elite talent. While eight teams got notified that they were going to be getting official visits, the Spartans did not make the list.
With wing being a position of need, and the Spartans having yet to get a wing for an official visit, I am sure Tom Izzo will continue to push. If not, the Spartans will look to who’s next on the big board.

Florida: September 4th
UConn: September 11th
Providence: September 18th
North Carolina: September 25th
Duke: October 2nd
