See which 4 FIFA World Cup teams will call Texas home this summer

Texas will be playing temporary home to four national teams in addition to having two host cities for FIFA World Cup games.
FIFA announced its finalized list on Monday, June 1, where teams are setting up base camps across the United States, Mexico and Canada so they have a place to train, recover and relax between games.
“Team Base Camps are an integral part of the fabric of any FIFA World Cup,” said Heimo Schirgi, CFO of the FIFA World Cup 2026. “Finalizing the list of Team Base Camp Training Sites for the FIFA World Cup 2026 is especially exciting because of its unprecedented scale, which gives us the welcome and wonderful opportunity to involve even more communities and fans in this groundbreaking tournament.”
Here is a look at which Texas cities will be playing temporarily home to four teams this summer:
- Austin — Saudi Arabia will be using Austin FC Stadium as its base camp.
- Frisco — Sweden will be using FC Dallas Stadium as its base camp.
- Houston — The Democratic Republic of the Congo will be using the Houston Training Center as its base camp.
- Mansfield — Czechia will be using Mansfield Multipurpose Stadium as its base camp.
All teams based in Texas — except for Czechia — are currently scheduled to play in the Dallas or Houston group‑stage matchups.

Houston FIFA World Cup schedule
All games in Houston are set to be played at NRG Stadium — home of the Houston Texans.

- Saturday, June 20: Netherlands vs. Sweden.
