Brewers’ Jacob Misiorowski looked distraught after hitting a Rockies batter in the head with fastball

Milwaukee Brewers ace Jacob Misiorowski throws hard, and that makes him fun and scary to watch at the same time.
On Saturday, a Colorado Rockies hitter, Tyler Freeman, got in a terrifying moment when he was hit in the helmet by a 98 mph cutter from Misiorowski in the sixth inning.
Milwaukee catcher William Contreras immediately assisted Freeman, while Misiorowski was later seen on the broadcast looking distraught. Misiorowski clearly did not intend Freeman. It was simply a pitch that got away and unfortunately made contact with Freeman.

The Rockies outfielder managed to leave the game under his own power, which was a great sign.
As for his performance, Misiorowski put together another strong performance on the mound. He allowed a run (unearned) on four hits with three walks and eight strikeouts in 7.0 innings of work to show Milwaukee the way to a 7-1 victory.
So far in the 2026 MLB season, Misiorowski has a 7-2 record and a 1.50 ERA through 13 starts.
The Brewers can complete a sweep of the Rockies on Sunday, with Shane Drohan expected to start for Milwaukee.
Fans react to scary pitching moment involving Brewers’ Misiorowski against the Rockies
Just as shaken were the fans after seeing Freeman get hit by the pitch from Misiorowski.
“Sucks. But it’s part of baseball. Obviously not intentional and hopefully the player is ok and doesn’t suffer from any concussion issues,” said a fan on X.
Another one said: “Is bro alright?? Absolute nightmare getting hit by a Miz pitch. Hope he’s all good.”
From a commenter: “Wow. That is frightening. Looks like he will be okay though.”
“Man that’s scary, hope Freeman’s alright. These max effort pitchers are getting dangerous,” a social media user posted.
Via a different commenter: “most pitchers will have little to no reaction from hitting a batter in the head. Miz clearly looked like he felt awful for hitting Freeman in the head. i respect him for it.”
Said another: “Omg… not t free!!! I hope he’s okay! 😢”
