Ryan Gerard had an amazing retort to a heckler at the Memorial

Ryan Gerard didn’t wind up winning the Memorial on Sunday, but he provided perhaps the most boss moment of the week at Muirfield Village.

After hitting his tee shot on No. 18 during regulation, a fan rudely shouted, “Get in the bunker!” Not only did Gerard’s golf ball not get in the bunker, but he let the guy know about it.

“It’s not in the bunker, dog.”

And that might just be the best clap back in sports history. Have a look and listen:

Absolute perfection there by Ryan. He nailed that comeback harder than he smoked that 3-wood. Why anyone would shout that at a golf tournament at anyone is beyond us, but at Ryan Gerard? While he plays the biggest hole of his life? Sick stuff.

Maybe that guy was overserved or maybe he’s the world’s biggest J.T. Poston fan (Congrats to him on the win, by the way) or maybe he just doesn’t like Gerard. Regardless, he got owned in that moment.

So, golf fans, beware, don’t mess with Ryan Gerard out there. Well, don’t mess with any of the players, but especially not Ryan Gerard.
