As the NCAA baseball tournament moves to its second weekend, the overriding theme is clear: chaos reigns in 2026.
After a regular season that featured a wire-to-wire No. 1 in the rankings, the postseason moves to the super regionals without that team, top overall seed UCLA, or the clear No. 2 entering NCAA play, ACC champion Georgia Tech. They were the most prominent victims in a wild weekend of regional play that saw seven of the 16 national seeds fail to advance.
That carnage ushers in some unexpected super regional matchups, none more so than Troy hosting Little Rock in a battle of the Trojans. Those two were joined in their bracket-busting efforts by Cal Poly and St. John’s, who advanced from the regionals that were supposed to belong to UCLA and Florida State, respectively.
While Cinderellas were the story of the first weekend, the remaining powerhouses will still like their chances to make it to Omaha. The top remaining seed is No. 3 Georgia, which hosts SEC foe Mississippi State this weekend. The same goes for No. 4 Auburn and Ole Miss. Other marquee matchups include No. 5 North Carolina against USC and No. 6 Texas against No. 11 Oregon.
Expected the unexpected, but by the end of the weekend we’ll know who’s moving on to what should be a wide-open College World Series. Here’s when and where to watch every game.
