Rams Get Another Aaron Donald Return Boost As Momentum Builds

The Los Angeles Rams got another boost in their odds of getting the legendary, unstoppable Aaron Donald back on their defensive front, terrorizing quarterbacks in the NFC.

Donald has reportedly been strongly considering a return, doing everything possible to see where he is at.

He was spotted working out at the team’s facility, and while head coach Sean McVay has said a decision will not arrive during training camp, the odds seem to be rising by the day.

“If there’s an arrow, it’s pointing up,” McVay said.

Donald is 35 years old and already has a Super Bowl title, alongside a first-ballot Hall of Fame career. However, the prospect of lining up alongside another future Hall of Famer in Myles Garrett has Donald thinking of a “Last Dance.”

Garrett just finished a season where he broke the single-season sack record and racked up another All-Pro season to boot.

What does Myles Garrett think of playing with Aaron Donald

During training camp, the media naturally asked the elite defensive end about the prospect of playing with Donald, and he made sure to put the ball in the current retired Rams legend’s court.

“I don’t want to push him in one way or another,” Garrett said Wednesday. “If he’s here, I’m going to be excited to be his teammate, his partner in crime. And I think we can do great things, but it’s a difficult thing coming back, and I know he has a family. He has a lot of decisions to make.”

Additionally, Garrett made it clear that he believes Donald can still deliver at an elite level.

“And someone who, as great as he is, I think he can definitely come back and do it. It’s just whether he wants to do that for however many games he chooses to play,” Garrett added.

While there is still much to be determined, the fact that Donald is not only thinking about, but also putting his otherworldly athleticism to the test, the Rams’ odds are looking great.

Pretty soon, Donald and Garrett may break down the doors together at SoFi Stadium.
