Kentucky basketball offers the son of an former NFL All-Pro linebacker

The Kentucky Wildcats and coach Mark Pope missed out on one 2027 recruit when Marcus Spears Jr. reclassified to 2026 and committed to Texas. However, they have already landed Ryan Hampton, and are continuing to add names to their list of offers.

NaVorro Bowman Jr. announced on his Instagram page that he had received an offer from Kentucky. He becomes the 19th member of the 2027 class to receive an offer from Pope and the Wildcats staff.

Bowman is a 6’3″, 180 lb point guard out of California, and is the son of former San Francisco 49ers linebacker NaVorro Bowman. He is rated four stars by 247Sports and ranks as their No. 21 overall player in his class. They rank him as the No. 6 point guard.

Kentucky is strongly attacking the point guard position after back to back years with injury struggles at the position. He is the sixth they have offered in 2027 already. He is averaging 20.8 points and 3.7 assists in Nike EYBL play.
