Sri Lanka are the defending champions after beating India by eight wickets in the 2024 final to win their maiden Women’s Asia Cup title. Bangladesh had previously ended India’s dominance by beating them in the 2018 final.

Has India won Women’s Asia Cup?
India is the most successful team in Women’s Asia Cup history, winning seven of the nine editions so far. The 2026 tournament is the 10th edition, giving Harmanpreet Kaur’s side a chance to claim an eighth title.
India won the first four editions when the tournament was played as an ODI event, before switching to T20I format in 2012. India won three of the five T20 editions, with Bangladesh and Sri Lanka claiming one title each.
India will play against Thailand on August 30 and thereafter, Hong Kong, China, and Pakistan will take on India.

When is the Women’s Asia Cup 2026?
The Women’s Asia Cup 2026 will be hosted by the UAE from August 28 to September 13. The tournament will continue in the T20I format.
