With training camp drawing closer for the Jacksonville Jaguars, we typically put together a 53-man roster prediction beforehand based on what we learned during offseason programs.
We will still be doing that, but the format will be different. Rather than cramming every position group into one article, we’ll devote an entire article to each unit before compiling our predictions at the end.
Up next are the cornerbacks.

Roster locks: Travis Hunter, Montaric Brown, Jourdan Lewis, Jarrian Jones
These four will lead the way at this position group, with Hunter, Brown, and Lewis the presumed starters. Jones’ versatility will provide Anthony Campanile with ways to get him on the field.
Cornerback depth chart taking shape
Beyond the top four players mentioned, Christian Braswell and Jabbar Muhammad seem to be the clear next two cornerbacks on the depth chart. From Week 9 through Week 18 last season, Braswell played 160 defensive snaps. Muhammad was one of the standout performers during offseason programs.
Preston Hodge may be another player to watch this summer, after he made high-impact plays in OTAs and minicamp.
How many cornerbacks will the Jaguars roster?
Some teams will keep only five cornerbacks, but I would think the Jaguars roster six — which is common as well — just to provide some additional depth with Hunter playing both ways.
Predicting the Jaguars’ 53-man roster at cornerback before training camp
Travis Hunter, Jourdan Lewis, Montaric Brown, Jarrian Jones, Christian Braswell, Jabbar Muhammad
Given what we know right now, this is a pretty chalk prediction. There are four roster locks, while Braswell and Muhammad appear to be the front-runners for the next two spots on the depth chart.
