Iowa basketball sets Sioux City date vs. ACC foe

Another big matchup in the upcoming 2026-27 Iowa basketball season was revealed on Tuesday. The Hawkeyes announced that they will play Virginia Tech on Nov. 10 at the Tyson Events Center in Sioux City, Iowa.
The Big Ten-ACC showdown will be Iowa’s first-ever game in Sioux City. It also marks the fifth all-time meeting between Iowa and Virginia Tech and the first since 2017.
“We’re excited to bring Hawkeye basketball to the western side of the state for an early-season matchup against Virginia Tech,” said Iowa head coach Ben McCollum. “This gives us three in-state neutral-site games against Power Conference opponents this season and 21 games inside our state border.”
