Former NFL defensive end Marcellus Wiley and his wife, Annemarie, find themselves in the spotlight as they are involved in a public divorce and legal dispute. Wiley faces accusations of rape, assault and domestic violence. Former player and podcaster Emmanuel Acho, meanwhile, has also weighed in on the situation.

In a statement in a “Speakeasy” video posted on YouTube on Monday, Acho called out the couple. The talk show host explained why he believed both were in the wrong.

“So in 2024, you suggested that he’s an incredible Black man and an incredible father, but in 2012, you allege that he tried to rape you and shoot at two of your home girls,” he said. “So, Annemarie, dumb as hell! Both parties have acted, at times, dumb as hell. Far too many degrees to be that dumb.

“What I don’t like is involving the babies. … You don’t post the babies, but now you want to post the babies! Not the babies!”

Wiley was arrested on July 4 in Florida on a misdemeanor domestic battery charge after an incident with his wife, Annemarie, at the Orlando World Center Marriott. According to the arrest report, Annemarie told police officers that Wiley had allegedly threatened to kill her. Wiley denied that any physical altercation took place. He was booked into the Orange County Corrections Department and later released on a $1,000 bond. He was ordered not to contact his wife.

Annemarie has filed for divorce and obtained a temporary restraining order against Wiley, alleging physical and emotional abuse. On the other hand, Wiley has said he will fight the accusations legally.

Marcellus Wiley Posts Lengthy Video on Current Divorce Situation

In an hour-long video posted on X on Monday, Marcellus Wiley discussed sports and his current situation. In the video, he talked about topics like Draymond Green and Shannon Sharpe and addressed the allegations against him.

The video dove into Wiley’s stance and the allegations in detail, going line by line through a list of the allegations posted on a YouTube video. Wiley disputed the allegations, at times pointing out what he believed to be details lacking clear information, such as the dates of the alleged crimes.

For now, Wiley is scheduled to appear in court on August 4 as the legal proceedings continue.
