The City of Gonzales recognized the state champion Gonzales Diamond Youth Baseball 11-U team.
Mayor Tim Riley congratulated the team in a Facebook post as the team left for Montgomery, Alabama to represent the community in World Series competition.
Per the post, the team was given a memorable escort out by members of the Gonzales Police Department and the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office.
