Broncos QB Bo Nix provides update on ankle: 'I could go full go right now'

Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix (ankle) was seen on the practice field on Tuesday for the first time since he broke his ankle in the AFC divisional playoff win over the Buffalo Bills.

In his return to the football field, Nix was seen taking part in individual drills, but held out of team drills, in order to keep him on track for full participation in July’s training camp. Nix’s participation was a step in the right direction, with videos showing him jogging, and throwing passes to wide receivers Courtland Sutton and Jaylen Waddle.

The third-year quarterback spoke to media members after practice, giving updates about his health. “The doctors told me that the ankle looks good as new,” Nix said. “We’re right back to normal.”

Nix was also in a joking mood when asked if he has concerns about his mobility going into 2026. “Well, my concern is (my doctors) say it’s back healthy as good as new, and I hadn’t really been like that in a couple years. So my concern is maybe moving around a little bit better,” the quarterback quipped.

When asked if he will be full-go for training camp, Nix said, “Yes, I could go full go right now if they wanted me to.”

Nix and the Broncos will continue mandatory minicamp through Thursday. After minicamp wraps up, players will have a summer break until training camp.
