Auburn battling SEC rivals for four-star EDGE Jayden Broadie

Auburn football has landed plenty of talented recruits during the 2027 recruiting cycle, and it appears their quest for building the perfect class is not finished.
Auburn is in the mix to land four-star EDGE rusher Jayden Broadie ahead of his commitment date. The talented defensive prospect will choose between Auburn, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Missouri, South Carolina, and Virginia Tech on Saturday, July 4.
In an interview with Rivals’ Chad Simmons, Broadie says he will be with his family when he announces, and will shoot fireworks after. He also tells Simmons that he wants the opportunity to compete for a starting role the instant he walks on campus.
“I want an opportunity to compete for a spot right away,” Broadie said in an interview with Rivals. “I also want a relationship with my coach where I can go to him about football and non-football things. Development and relationships are huge for me.”
Will Auburn be the suitor? Auburn is stacked at the EDGE position in 2026 with transfers DaShawn Womack and Nate Johnson, returning contributor Jared Smith, and younger players such as JJ Faulk, Jaquez Wilkes, and Joe Phillips gracing the room. Auburn also has three 2027 EDGE commits, including Marquis Evans, who committed to Auburn on Wednesday, July 1. The competition at Auburn will be stiff for someone like Broadie, who is looking to compete for a starting job right away.
Auburn football holds the No. 9 class in the 2027 recruiting cycle according to 247Sports, with 15 blue-chip commitments.
