Allegany's Kohen Madden 1st-team All-State by Prep Baseball

CUMBERLAND — Allegany junior Kohen Madden was named first-team All-State by Prep Baseball Report on Friday.
Madden made the squad as a two-way player. The right-hander held opponents to a 1.88 ERA with 55 strikeouts in 48 1/3 innings, compiling a 5-2 record.
At the plate, the shortstop batted .518 adding two home runs, a triple, six doubles, 22 runs batted in and 18 runs scored.
Madden will be playing in the prestigious Big 26 Baseball Classic later this summer, an all-star game of players from Maryland and Pennsylvania entering their junior or senior years.
It will be held at FNB Field, home of the Harrisburg Senators, on July 30-Aug. 2.
