LSU has landed another experienced addition out of the transfer portal, according to On3’s Joe Tipton. Former UCLA guard Skyy Clark announced his commitment to the Tigers after entering the portal earlier this offseason, giving Will Wade another veteran piece for the 2026-27 campaign.
Clark arrives in Baton Rouge after spending the past two seasons with UCLA and will be joining his fourth program in five seasons. His commitment provides LSU with an experienced backcourt option who has played more than 100 collegiate games.

Alas, Clark entered the transfer portal following back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances with Mick Cronin and the Bruins. Before arriving in Westwood, the Los Angeles native spent one season at Illinois before transferring to Louisville, where he posted the best statistical season of his career.
During the 2023-24 campaign with the Cardinals, Clark averaged career highs of 13.2 points and 3.0 assists per game while emerging as one of Louisville’s top offensive options. Across 102 career appearances, including 97 starts, he has averaged 10.4 points, 2.9 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.1 steals per contest.
Continuing, Clark spent the last two seasons helping UCLA compile a 47-23 overall record with consecutive trips to the NCAA Tournament. He also delivered on the biggest stage, scoring in double figures in three of the Bruins’ four NCAA Tournament games during that span, including an 18-point performance against Tennessee in last season’s second round.
His collegiate journey has included a unique eligibility situation. Clark stepped away from Illinois 13 games into his freshman season because of personal reasons and never returned to the program before transferring to Louisville. Earlier this year, he announced he had filed for an NCAA waiver that would allow him to compete during the 2026-27 season.
“I mean, it would definitely mean a lot just coming back, getting another year to develop and everything and yeah, so we’ll see what happens,” Clark said after filing for the waiver.
Now, LSU will be adding one of the more experienced guards available in the portal. Clark has played meaningful minutes at three high-major programs, competed in multiple NCAA Tournaments and brings proven scoring ability along with veteran leadership to the Tigers’ backcourt.
All told, the former five-star prospect will have one more opportunity to finish his college career in Baton Rouge while giving the Tigers another experienced playmaker for the 2026-27 season. LSU might’ve just gotten a steal for this coming year.
