Texas Tech baseball's Logan Hughes, Tracer Lopez named all-Americans

Texas Tech baseball left fielder Logan Hughes and second baseman Tracer Lopez were named to the second team on the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association all-America teams released Wednesday, June 10.
Hughes also received third-team all-America recognition from Perfect Game.
Hughes batted .375 with team highs of 18 home runs and 70 runs batted in this season. The junior from Winter Springs, Florida, ranks first in the Big 12 in on-base percentage (.510), third in walks (50) and OPS (1.245) and fourth in RBIs and runs scored (68).
Hughes finished tied for seventh on the Texas Tech career home runs list with 37, achieved in only two years after he joined the Red Raiders as a transfer from Stetson.
Though Hughes has eligibility remaining, he is expected to be a relatively high pick in the Major League Baseball draft in July.
Lopez hit .370 with a home run and 39 RBIs. The senior from Cameron Yoe tied for the Big 12 lead in doubles with 21 and in sacrifice flies with 9. As a four-year starter at Texas Tech, Lopez climbed the school career charts, finishing third in at-bats (800), third in games (218), fifth in hits (243) and sixth in runs (174).
Tech finished 27-28 this season, including 10-20 in the Big 12.
Two more Texas Tech baseball players have names in transfer portal
Texas Tech relief pitcher Heeryun Han and middle infielder Tommy Hanger have their names in the NCAA transfer portal, a Tech athletics spokesman confirmed.
Han went 0-2 with an 11.15 earned run average this season in 19 relief appearances. It was the junior righthander’s first season with the Red Raiders after he transferred from Los Medanos (Calif.) College.
Hanger played in six games this season, going 1-for-5 with 2 RBIs. He was a freshman from Toronto, Ontario.
