LeBron James Rumors: ESPN’s Adam Schefter Predicts Where the 4-Time NBA Champion Will Sign in Free Agency

NBA free agency started almost two weeks ago, yet arguably the biggest fish in the pond, LeBron James, is still unsigned. The future first-ballot Hall of Famer has earned the right to take his time pondering his next move. It just might be his last.

The 41-year-old is gearing up for his 24th season, and he’s undoubtedly looking to add a fifth championship ring to his hand. As you can imagine, everyone is chiming in on James’ best fit or simply predicting which team he’ll sign with. That even includes top NFL insiders.

ESPN’s NFL Insider Predicts LeBron James’ Next NBA Team

Recently, ESPN’s Adam Schefter appeared on 97.5 The Fanatic, where he anticipated James’ next move. Schefter believes the NBA’s all-time scoring leader will take his talents back to South Beach to sign with the Miami Heat again.

“I still think that he’s going to wind up in Miami,” Schefter speculated. “… I had somebody text me at the outset of free agency that, ‘You might want to check into LeBron and Miami.’ Like right away. … I think people are overlooking it; he has become a rabid golf fan. … where could he play golf all the time? In Miami.”

James could certainly enjoy regular golf in Miami. Then again, there’s plenty of time for leisurely activities once he retires from the basketball court, too.

Still, the 22-time All-Star already knows what to expect in South Beach. He’s already played under head coach Erik Spoelstra for four seasons, winning NBA titles twice with the Heat in 2012 and 2013.

Of course, this time he won’t be joined by Heat legends Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh. Yet, the chance to team up with fellow multiple-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo has to be enticing. Perhaps it’s exactly what James is searching for.

James has reportedly narrowed his list of finalists to five teams, ruling the Denver Nuggets out of contention. That supposedly leaves only the Heat, Cleveland Cavaliers, Golden State Warriors, Minnesota Timberwolves, and Philadelphia 76ers in the latest James free-agency sweepstakes.
