“It doesn’t get much better or bigger” — Henderson targets history as England face Mexico at the roaring Azteca

England midfielder Jordan Henderson has said it doesn’t get much better than facing Mexico at the Azteca Stadium.
Thomas Tuchel’s team take on theWorld Cup co-hosts in the last 16 this evening, with a place in the quarter-finals at stake.
England must overcome Mexico in front of a feverish atmosphere, with more than 87,000 fans set to be packed inside the iconic venue.
Mexico are unbeaten in 10World Cup games in Mexico City across three tournaments, and have lost only two competitive games at the Azteca Stadium since its opening in 1966.
Henderson said England are relishing the chance to end the host’s 13-year unbeaten run at the venue.
“Definitely. It’s a huge occasion. It doesn’t get much better or bigger than playing Mexico in Mexico City in this stadium. No words really. It’s an incredible occasion for everyone and for us as a team.
“It’s about staying focused on what our objective is – to come here and win the game. Of course that comes with challenges. Mexico are a very good side with very good players. It”ll be a really tough test but every game in the World Cup is difficult.
“Everybody’s looking forward to coming and playing this game tomorrow. I hope it brings the best out of us and if it does then I’m sure we can get a good result.”
