Isaiah Evans may not have been selected in the first round of the NBA Draft on Tuesday night, but he certainly dressed like he belongs in the league.
Evans came to New York with a specially curated outfit that he believes is the most expensive in NBA Draft history. While many draft prospects focus on their suits for the night, it’s Evans’ accessories that make his outfit stand out from the rest.
Evans spent two years at Duke before deciding to enter the draft, and he wanted to dress for the moment. While he never heard his name called in the first round, Evans still made an impression along with the rest of the draft class.
Here’s how Evans produced the most expensive outfit in NBA Draft history.

At the NBA Draft on Friday night, Duke star Isaiah Evans put together an expensive outfit just for the special night. Not only did Evans find a suit just for the night, he also found some expensive accessories to go along with the suit.
In fact, Evans worked with Jason of Beverley Hills to produce what the jeweler believes is the most expensive outfit in NBA Draft history.
“I’ve been doing this for 22 years, and you’re so used to a lot of NBA draftees getting drafted and wearing big medallions with their initials on in and big earrings,” Jason told the New York Post. “I think what we wanted to do was to bring a little bit of a different energy to the draft with Isaiah, and we sat down with him months ago, and we had this vision of bringing the Met Gala to the NBA draft. I wanted it to have a very royal vibe to it…it’s unique and timeless.”

Isaiah Evans diamonds
Evans’ expensive outfit is largely due to a few diamond-heavy accessories. Evans wore a brooch which cost $3 million and also brought with him a wallet chain that cost about another $1 million.

According to the New York Post, Evans’ broach has a 45-carat pigeon blood ruby at its center with another six karats of baroque-shaped white diamonds.
“There’s never been a brooch that’s made at this level for any NBA draft history,” Jason of Beverley Hills said. “And then on top of that, we went with a wallet chain that has over 170 carats of diamonds.”
Why did Isaiah Evans fall out of first round?
Evans was perhaps the highest-profile player not taken in the first round, as the Duke guard did not hear his name called on the first night. Evans is a strong shooter, but NBA teams may be concerned that he doesn’t have enough ability to create on his own offensively.
Additionally, although Evans has length at 6-6, he is of slighter build and needs to add more muscle at the next level to counter stronger opponents.
