Napoli target Former Arsenal defender Norton-Cuffy in €20m deal

Napoli have moved to the front of the queue for Genoa right-back Brooke Norton-Cuffy, with the English defender identified as a priority reinforcement for incoming coach Massimiliano Allegri as he looks to strengthen the right flank ahead of next season.
According to TuttoMercatoWeb, Napoli have made a significant step forward in the race for Norton-Cuffy, who has also attracted interest from Fiorentina.
The wing back’s performances have improved considerably throughout the season, catching the eye of several Serie A clubs and prompting Genoa to place a value of €18-20 million on the player.

Norton-Cuffy came through Arsenal’s academy before moving to Genoa, where he has established himself as one of Serie A’s more promising young full-backs.
His energy, directness and ability to contribute at both ends of the pitch fit the profile Allegri typically favours in a wide defensive role.
Genoa are prepared to sell but only on a permanent basis, meaning any interested club must meet the asking price outright rather than pursue a loan arrangement.
