RB Leipzig make enquiry about Everton striker Thierno Barry

RB Leipzig are in contact with Everton over a summer transfer deal for Thierno Barry, according to The Times. Barry joined the Hill Dickinson Stadium club last summer, featuring in every Premier League game for Everton last season and weighing in with eight goals. The 23-year-old is a key player under Toffees manager David Moyes, but it remains to be seen whether an exit could be on the cards in the coming weeks.
Leipzig qualified for next season’s Champions League and have identified the Everton striker as a target. They operate a data-driven recruitment model and will now hope European football would lure the Frenchman away from Merseyside. Barry joined the Blues for an initial £27 million and offering a similar fee could be enough to get him.
The Bundesliga club dream of challenging Bayern Munich for the title, which could also appeal to the Everton man.
