Fever star Caitlin Clark keeps dropping hints about her Nike signature shoe release

Caitlin Clark’s signature Nike shoe, it seems, is almost here.
The Indiana Fever star has been dropping hints on social media in recent days about the release of her new signature shoe, which has long been expected later this year. She changed her Instagram handle to @caitlin1, in a reference to a possible name for the inaugural shoe, and swapped her profile photo to a blue Nike logo.
Then on Wednesday, Clark posted a photo dump that included images of what many believe are the shoes themselves. Nike’s comment, “keep swiping,” only added to the speculation.
Clark even wore what she described as “very important” friendship bracelets ahead of the team’s game with the Toronto Tempo on Tuesday. That also included the “Caitlin 1” name and the date “10-01-26.”
Clark signed an eight-year, $28 million deal with Nike ahead of her rookie season in the WNBA. Her brand and logo, with two interlocking Cs, dropped officially last year. Only two other active players in the league, A’ja Wilson and Sabrina Ionescu, also have a Nike signature shoe.
“When I saw the final product, it was kind of one of those moments where you have those moments in life and you’re like, ‘Dang, like that’s the one,’” Clark said on Tuesday, via the Indianapolis Star’s Chloe Peterson. “You kind of just know in the moment, like that’s going to be something special.
“That’s what I truly feel. I feel like I really challenged Nike to make it something that I’m going to be super, super proud of and I think the world will really love and want to chase after and get.”
An official date has not yet been announced, and specifics on the shoe aren’t yet known. But, based on the hints that Clark has been dropping, an October 1 release date is a pretty safe bet.
Clark has averaged a career-high 20.4 points while adding 8.3 assists and 4.6 rebounds per game this season, her third in the league. The former Iowa star had 21 points and 14 assists in the team’s 113-91 win over the Tempo on Tuesday, which pushed them to 9-5 on the season. Clark and the Fever will host the Atlanta Dream next on Thursday night.
