We recently asked the good people of Barca Blaugranes to predict who would win World Cup 2026 and which player would take home the Golden Ball as part of the SB Nation Reacts series.

The results have now been counted and verified, VAR checked (not really) and can now be revealed. So, without any further ado, let’s see how you voted.

World Cup Winner

Perhaps unsurprisingly Spain are the favorites to win the World Cup with BB readers (and yes, this was done before the Cape Verde game) and scooped 46% of the vote. Lionel Messi’s Argentina came in second place followed by France, Portugal, England and Brazil.

Golden Ball Winner

Lamine Yamal topped the Golden Ball Poll, narrowly beating Messi into second place. France’s Kylian Mbappe came in third with Harry Kane grabbing fourth spot.

Thanks to everyone who took the time to take part in our survey. There may well be more to follow in the future.
