Troy baseball reports $35K in camera equipment stolen at College World Series

The Troy baseball team reported $35,000 worth of camera equipment stolen while the team was in Omaha, Nebraska, for the College World Series, Sunday, June 14.

According to a police report acquired by the Montgomery Advertiser, Troy baseball reported that six camera lenses and other paraphernalia were stolen from under its team bus on Saturday night while at the Hyatt Place Omaha Downtown-Old Market Hotel.

Police arrived at Charles Schwab Field at 11:44 a.m. Sunday to investigate. Troy played Ole Miss at 1 p.m. CT Sunday.

After falling to West Virginia in its first College World Series game, Troy eliminated Ole Miss with a 12-8 win Sunday afternoon.

Troy plays West Virginia again in an elimination game tomorrow at 1 p.m. CT on ESPN.

Troy advanced to the CWS by defeating Little Rock at the Troy Super Regional. The Trojans won the Gainesville Regional, beating host Florida twice to make it to the super regional.
