The first round of the 2026 NBA draft takes place on Tuesday night as the new wave of rookies will enter the league and look to make their mark and begin what they hope will be long and successful NBA careers. The Philadelphia 76ers, as well as the rest of the league, will look to add another young, talented player to continue a chase toward the Larry O’Brien trophy.
The Washington Wizards are officially on the clock as they hold the No. 1 pick after a season in which they finished 17-65. They just recently re-signed Trae Young, who they acquired from the Atlanta Hawks earlier in the season, and they will now look to add to the roster around him for the future.
