Rising Blue Mountain senior class of 2027 football player Chase Guers verbally committed to West Virginia University on Thursday.
Guers announced the commitment through his X account after an official visit to Morgantown earlier this month.
Guers ranked as a three-star recruit and chose the Mountaineers over other offers from Syracuse, UConn, Pitt, Temple, Cincinnati, Coastal Carolina and Illinois. He stands at 6-foot-3, 190 pounds and plays wide receiver.
The rangy route-runner finished his junior season with six touchdowns, 535 receiving yards, 15.3 yards per catch, 909 all-purpose yards and 75.8 yards per game.
