Washington Wizards sign KeShawn Murphy to a NBA Exhibit-10 contract

Former Auburn basketball forward KeShawn Murphy signed an NBA Exhibit-10 contract with the Washington Wizards on Wednesday, June 24. He joins fellow Auburn forward Keyshawn Hall in signing an Exhibit 10 contract with an NBA franchise.
The NBA draft concluded on Wednesday night, and for former Auburn forward KeShawn Murphy, he would go undrafted. Murphy was picked up by the Washington Wizards as an undrafted free agent, signing an NBA Exhibit-10 contract. He will have the chance to play for a roster spot at the NBA summer league in Las Vegas, Nevada, starting on July 3.
The former Tiger was not with the team for the NIT Championship run to close the first season under head coach Steven Pearl, after electing not to participate in the Tigers’ NIT invite.
In his senior season, he averaged 10.7 points and 6.8 rebounds per game. His stats would see an uptick in conference play, where he posted 11.2 points and 7.6 rebounds per game. The highlight of the year came against Kentucky as Murphy dropped a career-high 25 points to help the Tigers defeat the Wildcats.
Before his solo season with Auburn, Murphy began his college career with Mississippi State in 2021. He broke out in his junior season, becoming one of the SEC’s top rotational pieces. The Bulldogs had recruited him out of Ramsay High School in Birmingham, Alabama.
Now Murphy enters the NBA with an opportunity to make the Washington Wizards roster through the NBA summer league.
