Unanimous vote picks Nebraska volleyball as Big Ten favorites

The Big Ten released its preseason poll on Thursday, listing the projected finishing order for all 18 teams in the conference. Nebraska volleyball stands as the unanimous favorite in the conference.
The 18 head coaches of the conference picked the Huskers as the unanimous favorite in the preseason poll after Nebraska won its sixth Big Ten title last season with a perfect 20-0 conference record.
The Huskers finished the season 33-1 and reached the NCAA Regional Final. Over the past three seasons, Nebraska is 58-2 in the Big Ten Conference.
This is also the first year the Big Ten is holding a tournament. The inaugural tournament is set for November 20-25, 2026, at Fishers Event Center, home of Major League Volleyball’s Indy Ignite.
The top 15 teams in the conference will qualify for the inaugural event. Nebraska, Wisconsin, Penn State, Purdue, and Minnesota rounded out the top five.
The Huskers face Wisconsin, Penn State and Purdue in October and conclude the regular season with Minnesota. Of the four teams, Nebraska hosts all but Penn State for the season.
