UFC releases ‘The Real Side Of Josh Hokit’ promo video just days before historic White House event

The real “Hok”?
Red-hot Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Heavyweight prospect-turned overnight contender, Josh Hokit, collides with two-time Heavyweight title challenger, Derrick Lewis, at UFC Freedom 250 this weekend (Sun., June 14, 2026) on the White House’s South Lawn in Washington, D.C., to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary.
Hokit has taken UFC’s Heavyweight division by storm, blowing his first two opponents out of the water (watch highlights) before going to war with former title challenger Curtis Blaydes in one of the best fights of the year.
But more than anything, what has gotten Hokit attention is his over-the-top cornball characters.
Whether it is his “Trash-Talking Vato,” “The Arrogant Title Contender” or “The Incredible Hok,” Hokit has leaned all the way into the entertainment side of fighting. These days, it is rare to get an interview with the real Hokit instead of one of his ridiculous alter egos.
So, with just days to go until UFC Freedom 250, the promotion decided to pull back the curtain.
UFC released a new promo video titled “The Real Side Of Josh Hokit,” which dives into Hokit’s college wrestling and football background, as well as why he decided to create “The Incredible Hok” in the first place.
Check it out below:
It is easy to see why UFC is giving Hokit the promotional push. He is undefeated, entertaining, willing to say just about anything, and now finds himself on the biggest stage the promotion has ever created.
Hokit is currently a -410 favorite to defeat Lewis, which is pretty wild considering “The Black Beast” is the all-time leader in UFC knockouts.
But that is how fast Hokit’s rise has been.
Now, he gets the chance to prove the hype is real against the biggest name of his career.
