Two-time Pro Bowl DL leads Steelers 2026 countdown to kickoff: Day No. 60

The Pittsburgh Steelers‘ countdown to kickoff is full steam ahead for the 2026 NFL regular season, with fans needing to wait only 60 more days until the Steel City brand of football returns when the Steelers host the Atlanta Falcons on September 13.

In the spirit of the countdown, we at Steelers Wire will take a look at the history of the No. 60 jersey and analyze which player wore it best.

Steelers current No. 60: OT Dylan Cook

Cook, a late-season breakout for the Steelers in 2025, is the current No. 60 wearer on the roster. Cook was incredible at left tackle to close out the season in 2025 but is expected to move to the right side this upcoming season.

Last five Steelers to wear No. 60

  • Dylan Cook, 2024-present
  • J.C. Hassenauer, 2020-2022
  • Greg Warren, 2005-2016
  • Anthony Brown, 1999
  • Mark Rodenhauser, 1998

Best No. 60 in Steelers history: DL Ben McGee

The greatest Steeler to ever wear No. 60 in the Super Bowl era is defensive lineman Ben McGee.

McGee, selected by the Steelers with the 51st overall pick in the fourth round of the 1964 NFL Draft, would play in Pittsburgh for nine seasons (1964-1972). He appeared in 120 games and made 104 starts. McGee also recorded 34.5 unofficial sacks during his nine years with the Steelers.

A two-time Pro Bowl defensive lineman, McGee is the best No. 60 in Steelers history.
