Tottenham ace Djed Spence delivers absolutely outstanding cameo as England beat Norway to advance to World Cup semi-final

Tottenham Hotspur defender Djed Spence played a crucial role in helping England advance to the semi-final of the 2026 World Cup.
The Spurs full-back came on from the bench and delivered a solid performance as the Three Lions sealed a date with destiny.
Despite a difficult season for Tottenham, Thomas Tuchel still called up the 25-year-old, and that decision paid dividends in the latter stages of the quarter-final match-up.
Spence came on to add defensive solidity and did just that, making key contributions to help keep out the Scandinavians in North America.
The Spurs man made seven defensive contributions, winning three out of four ground duels and all his aerial duels (one).
He also completed 12/14 passes and carried the ball with energy. He appeared to have won a penalty off Oscar Bobb, but VAR and the referee overturned the decision.
His 34-minute cameo was hailed as ‘absolutely outstanding,’ and another media personality lauded it as a ‘terrific display.’ He was excellent in both halves of the pitch.
Spence’s display should also serve as a timely reminder to Tottenham ahead of the new season.
Reports have linked Everton and Juventus with moves for the versatile defender, but this is not the time to cash in.
Spence is entering his prime and has finally shown the consistency many believed he was capable of after a difficult start to life in north London.
His ability to play on either flank, defend aggressively in one-on-one situations and drive forward in transition makes him a valuable asset for Spurs boss Roberto De Zerbi.
Tottenham need squad depth if they are to compete on multiple fronts, and selling a homegrown England international would be a backwards step.
Unless an extraordinary offer arrives, Spurs should resist all interest and make Spence a key part of their plans.
