The Wolfsburger Allgemeine Zeitung reports that VfB Stuttgart have upped their offer for Wolfsburg striker Dzenan Pejcinovic to €22m inclusive bonus payments. The German Champions League representatives recently saw an €18m offer rejected by the German Wolves. This significantly improved offer should seal the deal. The WAZ claims that Pejcinovic’s agent is presently en-route to Stuttgart training camp in order to wrap up proceedings.

Will Dzenan Pejcinovic move to Stuttgart?

It appears as there are no major impediments to Pejcinovic spending this year in the German top flight. Interest in the 21-year-old – who scored 12 goals across all competitions for relegated Wolfsburg last season – amid other clubs has been reported. Rumors linking him with other Bundesliga clubs (such as Eintracht Frankfurt and Bayer Leverkusen) appear unsubstantiated.

Interest from Benfica was reportedly rebuffed by Pejcinovic himself early as the Germany U21 international prefers to remain in the Bundesliga. Stuttgart offer the Munich native a chance to play in the Champions League next season. Wolfsburg – having already secured plenty of attacking assistance ahead of their 2. Bundesliga campaign – will certainly not deny the chance to pick up revenue.
