Steelers vs. Saints, Week 7: New Orleans lists two players as questionable for Paris

The New Orleans Saints have deemed two players as questionable for the Week 7 Paris matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Courtesy of the Week 7 practice report, the Saints listed guard Cesar Ruiz (knee) and defensive tackle Nathan Shepherd (illness) as questionable to play in Sunday’s Paris game against the Steelers.

Ruiz, who was drafted by the Saints in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft, suffered his knee injury during the Week 6 win over the New York Giant in which he exited the game late in the second quarter and did not return. A former Michigan standout, Ruiz has become a reliable contributor on New Orleans’ offensive line, starting 14 games in 2025 and all six games through Week 6 of the 2026 season.

Shepherd, who joined the Saints as a free agent in 2023 after spending five seasons with the New York Jets (2018-2022) , has previously missed Weeks 5 and 6 with an illness. Through four games in 2026, Shephard has recorded 12 tackles and 0.5 sacks.
