Seahawks QB Sam Darnold QUESTIONABLE to return vs Patriots (Hip)

Seattle Seahawks starting quarterback Sam Darnold is questionable to return vs. the New England Patriots after suffering a hip injury on the game’s opening drive.

Darnold went down face first to the ground while being sacked by a former Seahawk, defensive lineman Dre’Mont Jones. The replay didn’t show an obvious pull or tweak of the hip from movement here, but it was officially reported as a hip injury. Here’s what one fantasy football injury analyst said when looking deeper, along with the video embedded:

Tom Christ’s analysis doesn’t paint a hopeful picture that Darnold will return tonight. Considering the Seahawks trail the Patriots 7-0 with just 4:39 minutes to go in the second quarter, the best case scenario is probably that they emerge from halftime with their field general back.
