Report: Bayern Munich eye move for FC Köln’s star youth center-back

As every summer, Bayern Munich look to add the brightest talents they can find to the FC Bayern Campus. Two summers ago, the Bavarians brought big talent Cassiano Kiala to Munich from Hertha Berlin. Meanwhile, Filip Pavić has garnered a lot of attention from his performances. Both center-backs have caught the eye of Vincent Kompany and made their first team debuts in the 2025/26 season. But Bayern might have found yet another big center back talent to challenge them.
According to German news site Tz’s Munich division, as captured by @iMiaSanMia, Bayern want to sign FC Köln’s 16-year-old Ben Nwachukwu:
Bayern are eyeing a move for Köln U17 and Germany U16 centre-back Ben Nwachukwu (16) for the Campus. Nwachukwu is a left-footed centre-back, considered one of the biggest talents in Köln’s academy – Observers find him reminiscent of Nico Schlotterbeck. He’s under contract at Köln until 2028.
BFW Analysis
He’s really good and a left-footed center-back, which is a rare find. Naturally, every club in Germany wants him. Competition for the teenager will be quite high.
