The Baltimore Ravens are entering a new era. For the first time in almost two decades, the team has a new head coach, as John Harbaugh is now with the New York Giants.
The Ravens made that change in a bid to get over the hump. Lamar Jackson has yet to play in a Super Bowl, and the team desperately wants to get back there. Overall, the roster is still in very good shape, but it’s clear Jackson could use more weapons.
Luckily, there’s still a star receiver on the market who would be a perfect fit in Baltimore.
Ravens should sign Stefon Diggs ahead of Week 1
Moe Moton of Bleacher Report recently identified eight roster moves that should happen before Week 1. Moton suggested the Ravens sign Stefon Diggs, who is one of the best remaining free agents.
Regarding that possible move, Moton offered the following:
Coming off a 1,000-plus-yard season, Diggs believes he’s the best No. 2 receiver in the league. He can complement two-time Pro Bowler Zay Flowers in Baltimore’s offense under first-time play-caller Declan Doyle.
With tight end Mark Andrews entering his age-31 campaign, the Ravens need another reliable possession pass-catcher to move the chains. Diggs can fill that role. He’s averaged fewer than 12 yards per reception in three consecutive terms but finished with an 83.3 percent catch rate last season.
As Moton mentioned, Diggs is still a very, very good No. 2 receiver. Diggs could be the perfect veteran complement to Zay Flowers, and his addition would give Jackson the best receiver room he’s ever had.
In 2025, Diggs played in all 17 games for the New England Patriots and helped lead the team to the Super Bowl. Diggs caught 85 passes for 1,013 yards and four touchdowns. It was the seventh season of Diggs’ career with at least 1,000 receiving yards.
Despite the productive season, the Patriots cut Diggs and traded for A.J. Brown to replace him. Diggs proved he’s still a capable receiver, though, and the Ravens should pounce. Diggs would likely love to play for a contender like the Ravens, and he’s from the DMV area, which could also make him interested.
Spotrac projects Diggs to land a two-year deal worth around $13 million. The Ravens still have around $17 million in cap space, so they could easily make a deal for Digg work.
