Paul George releases statement on being traded from Sixers to Celtics

The Philadelphia 76ers pulled the trigger on a huge blockbuster deal when they agreed to send Paul George, two first-round picks, and two second-round picks to the Boston Celtics for Jaylen Brown. The Sixers are receiving an All-NBA Second Team player to join Tyrese Maxey and Joel Embiid in Philly.
The George era ends after just two seasons. The Sixers signed the 9-time All-Star to a 4-year $212 million deal, but Philadelphia will decide to move on from him after he played a combined 78 games with the Sixers.
After the trade, George took to Instagram and released a statement about his time in Philadelphia. He took time to thank the fans, his teammates, and the organization for the opportunity and support.
