Notre Dame goes on the road again this week, and once again, they are huge favorites over their opponent. This time, it’s a trip to Chapel Hill in ACC country, to take on Bill Belechick and the North Carolina Tar Heels.
According to FanDuel Sportsbook, Note Dame is a 21.5 point favorite over North Carolina with an over/under of 47.5 points.
This is definitely a repeating story this year, but how could it not be? Notre Dame is arguably the best team in the country, and the schedule isn’t the hardest in the nation, so these large spreads are just part of the deal this year.
In all honesty, it definitely adds to the intrigue of each game. Can the Irish cover the spread? Marcus Freeman has been the best in the country at doing so since his hiring as the head coach for Notre Dame.
Notre Dame is currently scoring 42.5 points a game while only giving up over 8 points a game, but the line suggests the score to be something like 35-13. Make of that what you will.
