Ole Miss fans already spent $7,000 on Jell-O shots and the College World Series hasn't even started

The 2026 Men’s College World Series hasn’t even started yet, but Ole Miss is already winning another pivotal contest in Omaha: Rocco’s CWS Jell-O Shot Challenge.

Rocco’s Pizza and Cantina kicked off its annual contest Thursday morning and will track Jell-O shot sales from all eight fan bases representing teams in the 2026 CWS. All of the proceeds are donated to food banks in Omaha and each team’s local community.

Ole Miss, who won the contest with nearly 19,000 shots sold during its championship run in 2022, was the first team on the leaderboard Thursday after an employee of Mississippi-based Blue Delta Jean Co. drove through the night to buy 1,000 shots, according to Rocco’s dedicated shot challenge account on X (@CWSShotBoard).

Rocco’s posted its first update at 3 p.m., showing Ole Miss in an early lead with 1,427 shots sold, which, at $5 a pop, comes out to $7185 raised in the first six hours.

West Virginia, whose fans are undoubtedly amped up for the Mountaineers’ first trip to Omaha, currently sits in second place with 490 sold, but with eight fan bases descending upon Omaha in the coming days, there’s plenty of time and opportunity for any team to take the lead by dropping serious cash on gelatinous booze for a great cause (and bragging rights).

Rocco’s has 120,000 shots ready to sell as the CWS gets underway Friday, June 12, and will post multiple leaderboard updates on X throughout each day of the series.

Rocco’s College World Series Jell-O Challenge Past Winners:

  • 2019: Arkansas (864 shots)
  • 2020:Canceled due to COVID-19
  • 2021: Mississippi State (2,965 shots)

  • 2023: LSU (68,888 shots)
  • 2024: Tennessee (38,799 shots)
