Nebraska offers four-star East Coast edge rusher

Nebraska offered the top football prospect from New York last week. Class of 2028 four-star edge prospect Cam Toomey was officially offered last Thursday.
Toomey is the 75th overall player in the 2028 class, the ninth overall player at his position, and the top player in his class from the state of New York, according to the Rivals Industry Rankings. He has an extensive offer sheet that includes Penn State, Syracuse, Rutgers, Alabama, and Notre Dame.
The playmaker had 46 tackles, 14 tackles for loss, and seven sacks this past season as a sophomore for Saratoga Springs. He measures at six-foot-four and 245 pounds.
Currently, the 2028 recruiting class has no commitments. However, the Huskers have been laying some groundwork for the class itself, with offers and invites throughout the offseason.
The 2027 class has a solid base, enough for the program to begin shifting toward 2028. Toomey would certainly give the program an edge rusher for the future.
