'Main apne room mein … ': Vaibhav Sooryavanshi opens up on the power of manifestation

These are some of the questions fans have repeatedly asked on social media ever since Sooryavanshi took the cricketing world by storm with his fearless strokeplay and record-shattering performances.
The 15-year-old, who recently became the youngest player ever to earn a call-up to India’s men’s team, has now revealed the secret behind his preparation and the role manifestation plays in his success.
During a conversation with Rajasthan Royals team manager Romi Bhinder in a video shared by the franchise, Sooryavanshi spoke about visualisation, mental preparation and staying strong under pressure.
When asked about the power of manifestation and how he keeps ticking off the goals he sets for himself, Sooryavanshi explained that he often visualises match situations long before stepping onto the field.
“Main pehle se hi is cheez ko try karta hoon. Main apne room mein bhi sochta hoon ki main match khel raha hoon, kisi bowler ke khilaaf kaise batting karunga aur kya karunga. Agar pressure wali situation hogi to usmein main kya karunga, yeh sab pehle se imagine karta hoon. Isse kaafi madad milti hai aur aap mentally kaafi strong ho jaate ho, kyunki aap pehle se hi apne mind aur body ko prepare kar rahe hote ho. [I have been trying this for a long time. Even when I am in my room, I imagine myself playing a match, thinking about how I would bat against a particular bowler and what I would do in different situations. If there is a pressure situation, I visualise how I would handle it. It helps a lot and makes you mentally stronger because you are already preparing both your mind and body],” Sooryavanshi said.
The Rajasthan Royals opener stressed that mental strength is just as important as skill, especially in high-pressure games.
“Mind ko bahut strong rakhna bahut zaroori hai. Agar aap IPL final khel rahe ho, akele batting kar rahe ho, 50 ya 60 runs chahiye aur sirf 20-30 balls bachi hain, to wahan aapko mentally bahut strong rehna padega. Yeh cheez bahut important hai. [It is very important to keep your mind strong. If you are playing an IPL final, batting alone and your team needs 50 or 60 runs from 20-30 balls, you have to remain mentally very strong. That is extremely important],” he added.
His comments come just a day after Sooryavanshi received his maiden call-up to India’s T20I squad for the tours of Ireland and England, as well as the Asian Games.
India will play two T20Is in Belfast on June 26 and 28 before travelling to England for a five-match T20I series from July 1 to 11. The Men in Blue will also participate in the men’s T20 competition at the Asian Games in Nagoya, Japan, in September.
Sooryavanshi earned his maiden India call-up on the back of a sensational IPL 2026 campaign.
The Bihar youngster finished as the tournament’s highest run-scorer with 776 runs at a staggering strike rate of 237.30. His remarkable season included a record-breaking 72 sixes.
He also won the Most Valuable Player (MVP), Emerging Player of the Season, Super Striker, Orange Cap and Super Sixes of the Season awards.
